The Masked Dancer

We were excited to be officially named as a charity partner of ITV's 'The Masked Dancer' in season 2 of the popular show. Featuring a panel of famous faces trying to piece together clues and dance moves to 'unmask' 12 celebrities, Trees for Cities and Argonon Productions created a tailored social media campaign designed to raise awareness about the benefits of urban trees on physical and mental wellbeing.

Shortlisted in the Charity Times Awards 2022 for its innovative approach, the #UrbanTreesUnmasked Twitter and Instagram campaign ran for an eight-week broadcasting schedule. This engaged new and existing supporters with intriguing clues and riddles to 'unmask' a different urban tree species and vital benefit to improve people's lives in towns and cities.

In addition to the social media campaign, exclusive and limited edition water bottles, available via The Masked Dancer UK website, were designed by the show's famous panel: Jonathan Ross (whose bottle is shown in the photo), Davina McCall, Peter Crouch, Joel Dommett and Oti Mabuse. Funds raised from each purchase helped plant more urban trees in local communities and support our vital work in the UK and around the world.

My Masked Dancer notebook and seeds arrived in yesterday’s post and I’m delighted. I love the show and have always wanted a notebook just like the panellists, and I really look forward to planting my seeds in spring. Very inspired by your content and looking forward to more of it. Thank you so much!
